The following stalwart West Indies Cricketers have accepted an invitation to become
Official Patrons of the Double Wicket World Championship 2003.
Sir Garfield Sobers, Sir Everton Weekes, Deryck Murray, Wes Hall, Curtley Ambrose,
Mindoo Phillips and Lance Gibbs.
As the Double Wicket World Championship puts the spotlight on the All-rounder, Sir Garfield
Sobers has agreed to put his name to the Player of the Tournament Award which will
be called the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy
