9.16 pm Welsh Fire remain winless in both the men's and women's sides. London Spirit meanwhile continue to keep pace with Trent Rockets at the top of the table and have clinched a playoff berth. All that remains to find out is what seed they will be.

Match Hero is Dan Lawrence: "I think it was about absorbing a bit of pressure for the first bit of the innings. The Welsh boys got wickets to create pressure and it was about soaking that up. It was a bit sticky but the longer you stayed in batting got easier. Taking wickets is always a bit of a bonus for me. Bowling 20 balls is not something I'd normally do but happy to contribute to the team. It's been great to come back and contribute to a win."

So that's it from our coverage tonight at Lord's. On behalf of Matt Roller, I'm Peter Della Penna. Come back tomorrow for another men's and women's doubleheader featuring Southern Brave and Trent Rockets. Until then, take care!

W
Wood to Sodhi, OUT

yorker on leg stump, Sodhi misses a flick and an lbw shout is upheld. Was really a shin high full toss at the point of contact that Sodhi missed. Might've been worth a review at a different stage of the game because contact may have been outside leg stump but a reversal here would've only amounted to no run regardless and no ability to rebowl the delivery.

Ish Sodhi lbw b Wood 1 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50

1
Wood to Payne, 1 run

good length wide outside off, toe-slapped to long-on for one.

So the match is clinched barring any wides or no balls.

W
Wood to du Plooy, OUT

yorker on middle cleans him up! Du Plooy went for an audacious reverse sweep against the pace bowler but Wood's yorker was spot on.

Leus du Plooy b Wood 30 (18b 2x4 2x6) SR: 166.66

Wood comes around the stumps left-arm to the left-handed Du Plooy.

Three sixes will create a tie. You never know...

1
Wood to Sodhi, 1 run

full and wide, goes to heave this over long-on for one.

Sodhi enters.

96
W
Wood to Critchley, OUT

length ball angled across the wide guideline outside off, this time Critchley gets bat on this but only a thick edge with a waft and it carries through to Rossington behind the stumps diving to his right.

Wood to Critchley, 1 wide

wide yorker, Critchley misses a drive but the umpire says it was out of the guidelines. Replays show it's a very poor call, especially as Critchley took guard outside off stump and the ball passed inside the guideline regardless.

Thompson to Critchley, FOUR runs

full and wide, hammers a laser of a drive flat over extra cover and just beats the sweeper's diving effort on the rope.

94
6
Thompson to Critchley, SIX runs

Biggest hit of the night! Full on the legs, flicked into the third tier over backward square leg! Basic flick but he's timed the daylights out of this ball.

93
6
Thompson to Critchley, SIX runs

in the slot on seventh stump, this time Critchley latches on with a drive cleanly and clears the rope at long-off.

92

length ball wide outside off, swatted in the air well short of long-off and they come back for two again.

Ellis to du Plooy, no run

slower length ball wide outside off, almost off the pitch, and Du Plooy swings over it. Du Plooy had shuffled well outside off to play at the ball but it was still quite some ways away. Deemed legal though. Du Plooy is incredulous.

89
Ellis to du Plooy, no run

full on the stumps, shuffled all the way outside the stumps before swinging the front leg back in front of the stumps to heave for midwicket but misses. Struck on the knee right in front of middle, lbw shout upheld. Du Plooy calls for a review. This was definitely hitting the stumps. Only doubt was if it pitched in line or outside leg stump. Ball-tracking shows it pitched outside leg stump. Du Plooy survives.

88
2
Ellis to du Plooy, 2 runs

short and wide, slapped out to the cover sweeper for a sharp two.

87
Ellis to du Plooy, no run

slower wide yorker, goes to drive this and it comes off a thick edge and skittles on two bounces to the keeper.
