Queensland ahead despite Turner's century

Queensland's opening bowlers inflicted a collapse on Western Australia's top order to take the lead despite a fighting century from Ashton Turner

Queensland 0 for 3 and 353 (Khawaja 157, Mackin 5-58) lead Western Australia 265 (Turner 100, Feldman 3-50, George 3-85) by 91 runs
Scorecard
Queensland's opening bowlers Luke Feldman and Peter George tore through Western Australia's top order to take the first-innings lead after collapsing early in the day in Perth. Having begun the day on 6 for 333, Queensland lost overnight batsmen Michael Neser (59) and Usman Khawaja (157) to Simon Mackin, who took three wickets in the morning to complete his first five-wicket haul, and reduce Queensland to 353.
In reply, Western Australia were reduced to 6 for 93, the first five of those wickets being shared between Feldman and George who finished with three wickets each. However, an 87-run stand for the eight wicket between Ashton Turner and Josh Nicholas (52) followed by a 50-run stand for the ninth between Turner and David Moody helped Western Australia add 172 for the last four wickets before being bowled out for 265. Turner was the last man out for 100, his second century of the season and in his career.
