Danish Aziz is the Player of the Match.

8.44 pm Danish Aziz's 33-run over in the 19th of the first innings was the turning point to vault the Karachi Kings into the playoffs. They take the fourth and final spot with this win while Lahore Qalandars playoff dreams turned into a nightmare when Naseem Shah walked off the field before the over began only to see Jack Wildermuth leak six after six.

That's it from me and Varun Shetty. Stay tuned for coverage of the second match of today's PSL doubleheader between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans. I'm Peter Della Penna, take care!

Mohammad Ilyas to Sarfaraz, 2 runs

full and wide, slapped through cover to get a pair and bring up a half-century for Sarfaraz to end the match. But Quetta never were in this chase in truth and they lose by 14 runs.

Sarfaraz on 49, can end this with a memorable not out in the eyes of all the comment feedback crew...

So just a cool 32 needed off the final over. Well... Danish did set the PSL record with 33 in the first innings off Wildermuth so you never know...

Amir to Wildermuth, 1 run

Dropped! Amir fumbles a straightforward skier off his own bowling! Slower ball foxes Wildermuth on a good length to result in a top edged pull. Amir goes for it very casually as it lobbed up gently a few steps in front of the non-striker's stumps. The lack of intensity from both sides in this finish is evident as he spills this clumsily and reacts as though he doesn't seem to be too concerned that it will matter much in the end result.

18.1
Amir to Wildermuth, no run

full on the legs, goes to flick this through the leg side and misses. Big lbw shout upheld. Review called for immediately. Wildermuth calls for DRS. If it's not out, it was pitching outside leg stump with Amir coming over the wicket. Otherwise that was smashing middle. Indeed it was pitching comfortably outside leg. Looked to be the case live.

37 off 12 needed now. Not completely impossible, but also not much sense of urgency shown at any point in this chase by Quetta. Karachi would have to do something monumentally awful to bungle this.

Amir to Sarfaraz, OUT

Amir gets fingertips on this as a straight drive drills the non-striker's stumps to runout Hassan Khan. Full delivery on off, pulverized by Sarfaraz back down the pitch and Hassan was looking for quick runs thinking about two even before the ball is delivered. He is a good six yards out of his crease when the ball ricochets onto the stumps off Amir. No review needed for the third umpire.
