So off England go to lift the series trophy! What a remarkable week it's been. England name their T20I squad tomorrow, and will expect to invite back their isolated big guns. But one or two men here have made serious strides. England's white-ball cricket is a remarkable beast at the moment. From Miller, Danyal, Valkerie, George and Chandan, thanks and goodnight!

Ben Stokes: "Throughout the series the efforts have been fantastic, massive thanks for all the players and coaches for making this happen, we've all managed to pull through. The normal personnel aren't here but credit to Eoin, and Silvers, and Trevor Bayliss, for the way they've lead the team over the last six years. Play fearless cricket, like Phil Salt at the top. The most pleasing thing is no-one is affected by the situation and had a great time in front of the Edgbaston crowd. Everyone called up has seriously put their hand up."

And a word for Bob Willis, "one of the greats of the game, not only for England, and I know today has done a real good job of raising awareness of prostate cancer."

The Player of the Match is James Vince for his 102 from 95 balls. "We got off to a quick start so the rate wasn't out of control, and Lewy got important boundaries at the right time. We took our time to knock it around. Pleasing to make a contribution, this time last week didn't expect this opportunity."

The Player of the Series is Saqib Mahmood for his nine wickets and permanent classy threat. "Pretty special week, given responsibility of the new ball and to repay that, I'm pretty happy. The culture is set from Eoin and Silverwood, and Stokesy stepped in this week. I'll take it as it comes, this time last week I was waiting to play for Lancashire."

Babar Azam: "We started well but we were sloppy in the field," he says in Urdu. "We had our opportunities but couldn't capitalise due to our fielding. We will learn from our mistakes and hopefully not repeat them."

9pm It's also been a fine day for the #BlueforBob appeal, which has raised over 255,000 pounds for Prostate Cancer research. Click here to donate. The presentation is coming up shortly.

Ritzy: "Saqib Mehmood or Lewis Gregory are the player of the series candidates for me their contribution with new ball spells cannot be undervalued plus Gregory also contributed with the bat in two matches." Saqib was outstanding, but yes, Gregory's allround efforts were remarkable.

8.51pm Wow. What an astonishing run-chase from England's C team! Ben's Babes have come of age in an outstanding team performance. It was all too easy in the first two games, but they had a job to do today, thanks to a magnificent 158 from Babar Azam that should by rights have put the game beyond them.

Instead, England compiled an extraordinary chase, anchored by James Vince's maiden international hundred, but set up by Phil Salt's ballistic batting in the powerplay, and taken home by Lewis Gregory's 77, and two indomitable cameos from Craig Overton and Brydon Carse, who - lest we forget - took a maiden five-for too!

Se: "Did Ben Stokes remove his shirt and swirl it around?" Not to my knowledge, but yes, 19 years to the day since Sourav Ganguly guided India's young guns to a thrilling victory at Lord's, we've witnessed something similar here.

And lest we forget how bereft the last England sporting crowd ended up being at Wembley on Sunday, the Edgbaston fans have had a hell of a cheery day out. The Royal London One Day Series Trophy is coming home!

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Carse, FOUR runs

full length, open-faced drive through wide long-off! And England have pulled off a record chase at Edgbaston to seal a 3-0 series sweep!

Tom Jordan: "England aren't really breeding 9s, 10s and 11s. But more 7s and 8. Both of these 2 are bowling all-rounders who have been working on their batting since childhood."

47.5
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Carse, no run

onto the front foot, punched to cover

47.4
2
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Carse, 2 runs

leg-sided, that's free runs as Carse nudges into the gap at midwicket

47.3
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Carse, no run

a wild wipe! Outside the stumps, so Carse reckons that's fair game, but late movement nearly takes out his timbers

Tom : "Sorry if I missed it but is this also a record chase for this ground?" Certainly will be, yes

47.2
1
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Overton, 1 run

genuine nick as Shaheen digs one into the deck from round the wicket. But it's another single to third man

47.1
2
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Overton, 2 runs

low full toss, plonked through the leg side, and another misfield! Oh my, the wheels are fully off now

IndianFan: "Where do England breed these no. 9, 10 and 11 batters? They are not supposed to know how to hold the bat!" Whisper it, but county cricket has its merits... better not let George hear that, or his post-match piece will lead on it ...

46.6
1
Hasan Ali to Overton, 1 run

back of a length, flicked to the on side, that's a mighty over for England

46.5
2
Hasan Ali to Overton, 2 runs

fuller length, attacking the toes, but Overton hustles the second to midwicket! Ten away now, and only wickets will deny them!

46.4
4
Hasan Ali to Overton, FOUR runs

too short, clobbered through midwicket! Huge blow, and that really puts England in command. Solid base, good eye, strong levers!

46.3
2
Hasan Ali to Overton, 2 runs

tickled off the legs, behind square, and there's oodles of space there... huge acclaim for the second run!

46.2
1
Hasan Ali to Carse, 1 run

open face, fenced past the sprawling backward point, but deep third limits the damage... at least initially, as his return to Sarfaraz is awful! Lucky not to concede overthrows there

46.1
1
Hasan Ali to Overton, 1 run

full length, drilled hard to Babar at mid-off, who gathers and lines up the shy, but slips... he did the hard work there. Overton would have been struggling!

Burhanuddin : "If yuvi-kaif happens today it will be on 19th anniversary of that match." Gosh, fancy that

Ammar: "Imam scored 56 and dropped Gregory on 10 who went on to score 77. Practically, Imam contributed negative 11 runs to Pak in the match." Someone was asking earlier about the Imam negative comments. I thought he batted well, fwiw!

44.6

Haris Rauf to Carse, 1 run

jabbed from under the eyes through third man. The rate is down to five an over. Which means England do have time to breathe for the good balls...

44.5
2
Haris Rauf to Carse, 2 runs

bashed high and hard down the ground! A big cheer, but he didn't get hold of that perfectly. Did enough to clear mid-off though, which is all that mattered
