Knights vs Reds, 11th Match at Bready, PRO T20, Jun 12 2022 - Ball by Ball Commentary

11:05am Whilst we have been waiting for the next inspectation, another big rain shower passed the ground, adding to the water already on the outfield. The Umpire's think that there is no chance of the ground being ready to play before the cut off time. Match Abandoned. What a shame.

Morning everyone, welcome back to Bready Cricket Club for the final day of the second Cricket Ireland IP20 festival. Justin Smyth here at the ground for ESPNCricinfo and I'll hopefully be able to bring you some cricket to commentate on today, rather than describing the weather. First up today is the Northern Knights versus the Munster Reds. Top versus bottom.

The Northern Knights picked up their first points of the season in the washout yesterday, maybe this is a sign of better things to come for Mark Adair's men. 20 points are still up for grabs if they can complete four bonus point wins in the next four games. So, they aren't out of the competition just yet. Let's see what they can do today.

With the no result against the Warriors yesterday, the Reds are still four points clear at the top of the table and I'm sure that they will want to claim the full points today. Consistency has been the Reds mantra throughout the season, and I'd expect that they will look to keep the same team today that tied with the Lightning on Friday evening. Why change things when they are working?

Sadly, there has been a bit more overnight rain which is going to slow the outfield out a little more. Let's hope that no more rain made it under the covers and that we do get some play today. There has already been an inspection this morning, the result of that, is that we are going to be having another inspection at 11am. Going to be another one of those days I'm afraid.
