That's it from us for today's double header. Make sure you join us tomorrow for two more matches. Till then, this is Saurabh signing off on behalf of Alan and Raghav.

Shreyas Iyer is the Man of the Match "Really satisfying win after three home games. Losing them was really disappointing at the start but we recovered well. Got a good start from Shikhar today, it made it easier for the batsmen to follow. The kind of batsmen we have are on the rise players and love the ball coming on bat. But this is really slow to play on (the pitch). If you get set though you can get runs. Today I took the responsibility. (Lamichhane) is a very confident lad. When he goes for runs, he comes back strong. He's fearless and positive in his approach. He benefits from Amit Mishra's experience also. (Dhawan) has been giving us brilliant starts. If you get 50 in the Powerplay it's really good and we got 60 today. Very satisfying to stay till the end. One of the top four has to stay till the end. I took the responsibility today and hopefully continue through the rest of the matches."

12.04am: Time for the presentations.

Ashwin: The total was just below par because of the dew. I thought we lost a few too many wickets in the middle despite Chris playing a great knock. Disappointing (about Mujeeb's injury) but we have talent in the dressing room to bank on. I thought we were giving some of those soft boundaries here and there. If it was 12-13 off the last over, we would have fancied ourselves. Credit to Shreyas, he held his nerve and saw it through. we've lost a lot of close games and won a few. We need to catch the momentum here.

Dhawan: Very important for us to win this game. We want to qualify for the knockouts. We got better at finishing the game, but I still feel we have to get more better. I knew that first six overs we have to cash in, and then I changed my strategy. It's working for me, working for my side. On these sort of slow and turning wickets, we have to cash in, in the first six overs. I focus on my process and of course I feel that as an experienced player, I communicate more in the middle and make sure we don't lose a wicket under pressure. I talk to the boys and they also talk to me.

11.54pm: Delhi now have 12 points. Can they almost smell that elusive playoff spot after years of heart-breaks? They'll deserve it for sure, despite some moments of nervousness.

Sam Curran to Shreyas Iyer, FOUR runs

back of a length, swatted across the line and he's picked out the gap at midwicket. Delhi get over the line. They've won a match at home, though they stumbled and fumbled and wobbled and weaved at the finish line. But they got over it, which is what counts. They move clear of KXIP in the points table. Iyer will be pleased to have seen this through. No second miracle for Curran and Punjab, but they still managed to drag it out till the last over - commendable given Delhi's position

KXIP need another Curran hat-trick. DC just need to hold their nerve

Sam Curran to Shreyas Iyer, 2 runs

slashed this over cover, gets a thick outside edge but it falls safely and they take two. Risky shot, but fortune was with him

1
Sam Curran to Rutherford, 1 run

smashed back with incredible power straight over the bowler, but long-off runs in and collects on the bounce. Great work from Miller. Rutherford thought it was a boundary and only set off for a run late

Sam Curran to Shreyas Iyer, 1 run

length ball angling into him, he was walking across, whips this to deep midwicket

6 needed off 6 balls. Capitals have gone from 116 for 1 to 156 for 5. Not quite a 7 for 8 collapse but worrisome. And it's Sam Curran with the ball.

another length ball on leg stump tucked to deep square. They are not going to take a second this time!

Shami to Axar Patel, 1 run, OUT

there's a collision and a run out, it looks like this was a length ball on the pads and Axar tucked it to deep square leg and called for two. Shami had finished his follow through and was in a legitimate position at the edge of the pitch, watching the ball. Axar turned around and half-collided with him, which meant he wasn't in time to beat the throw. He's not happy. Shami shrugs and says he didn't come in the way. And he's right

Shami to Ingram, OUT

knocked him over Ingram wanted to finish it off in a hurry perhaps, danced down the track to drive and ends up yorking himself. Ball screams through and knocks the middle stump out of the ground. Still time for a twist?

Viljoen to Ingram, FOUR runs

Ingram's taking charge. He's not going to allow another botched chase on his watch. Super shot this, gave himself room and drove it from his toes through extra cover.

Viljoen to Ingram, FOUR runs

he's in perfect control is Ingram. Short ball, off-cutter and he swivels to pull this off his hips and to the square leg boundary. Doing it calmly

Ramji V: "Delhi can't win in kotla directly. So this will go into super over. You heard it here first!" - I'm holding you responsible for delayed shift if it does Ramji!

Viljoen to Ingram, no run

angles it into him this time to deny room and he squirts it back to the bowler

Shami to Shreyas Iyer, 1 bye

good work by Rahul behind the stumps. Iyer backs away to have a thrash at it through extra cover, but the bowler follows and goes between bat and pad. Because he has moved away so much it's well down leg side but Rahul dives and stops the ball

Naved: "Even if it looks pretty straight forward for Delhi, I'm not leaving my chair until the last run ( hopefully winning run) has been scored."
