And as Lasith and Mumbai Indians go partying, we say goodbye. Thanks for logging in. Okay bye

Presentation

And accordingly, Lasith Malinga is the Man of the Match . He says: "I just do my basics, and carry what I do in practice sessions into the match."

Sachin Tendulkar gets the orange cap before he say this: "All credit to the middle order. Saurabh Tiwary held his nerve, and Sathish. Pollard and Bravo played important short innings. Shikhar gave us a superb start too. But the bowlers was exceptional, especially Malinga. His over when he got both Irfan and Marsh was the turning point. He is terrific asset, and he has proven that he is a world-class bowler."

Mahela Jayawardene: "Very disappointed. Again we came close but couldn't get over the line. We need to be more professional in finishing off games. In a twenty20 game, if you keep making two-three mistakes every match, it's very difficult to come back. We showed a lot of character in the later half but we need to start winning."

So that's Punjab's sixth loss out of seven games, and Mumbai's sixth win out of seven. It was quite a sloppy day in the field from both sides, yet they managed to fit in spectacular catches. Marsh and Dhawan were standout batsmen, and Malinga and Bopara bowled really well. In the end, Mumbai held their nerve after manufacturing some excitement in the middle

Lee to Sathish, 1 wide

fittingly it has finished with a wide down the leg side. Finally Bisla makes a clean take, but the game is over by then. Full marks for that dive and commitment, though

19.3
2
Lee to Sathish, 2 runs

makes room early, the slower bouncer chases him, he pulls and keeps it down, Shalabh is lazy at fine leg, the fumble costs them the extra run

Lee has bowled two length deliveries, where is the yorker?

19.2
2
Lee to Sathish, 2 runs

powerfully driven straight down the ground, between long-on and long-off - who should be up in the circle anyway. Bopara makes a diving save and keeps them to two

19.1
1
Lee to Harbhajan, 1 run

he has got under it and smashed it to deep square leg for one

Six required off the last over. Lee to bowl it. Bhajan on strike, coming off an 18-ball 49

Bopara to Tiwary, OUT

well not quite ending! another turn? Tiwary pulls this short delivery, flat and low to deep midwicket where Goel dives forward to keep the game alive

Bopara to Tiwary, FOUR runs

comes down the track and agricultures this length ball for a straight four, it's ending fast here

18.4
1
Bopara to Sathish, 1 run

cut away to sweeper-cover for one

18.3
4
Bopara to Sathish, FOUR runs

another superb shot, back of a length, on middle and leg, and he makes room and places it past point, no deep point there, lovely placement

18.2
Bopara to Sathish, no run

Bisla is a Sanga in the making, if only he can bat as gracefully! Just because he collects a yorker cleanly, Bisla belts out a blood-curdling appeal, not quite Sangakkara, though. Doctrove not impressed

18.1

Bopara to Sathish, FOUR runs

what a shot, inside-out over extra, clean strike, and it's Malik who is diving again in vain

19 off 12, it's getting tight here. There could be a Super Over, which might finish just in time to take the last local from Churchgate. Bopara to continue with his Harris-esque dibbly dobblies

what power! walks down, is nearly beaten by the bouncer, and he just flat-bats it down the ground, and quite incredibly it carries over long-off

17.3

throws everything behind this, gets it over point, comes back for two, and Bisla misses a regulation throw to give away an overthrow

angled across him, and Sathish is jumping down the track first ball and misses

Bopara to Dwayne Bravo, OUT

and Bopara comes right back with a vicious slower one! Or so Bravo makes it seem, this is shorter and not in Bravo's striking zone, and as it kicks at him, Bravo is all squared up and fends at it. Bopara runs in to his right and takes a diving catch!
