6:25pm So that's all we have from this game. Sreshth's report will be up here soon. The India-South Africa clash at this same venue is not too far away and you can follow it all live here. Till the next time, on behalf of Chandan and Sreshth, see you, take care!

6:22pm Time for the presentation.

Scott Edwards, Netherlands captain: "That was still the right decision to make. We haven't batted first all tournament, we just were not good enough on the day. We were on 30 or so and 15 [19] after the powerplay. We couldn't string in the boundaries with the bat. Bowlers put their efforts in, but 90 was never enough."

Babar Azam, Pakistan captain: "I am very happy. Team did well with the ball and bat. I think the length was crucial. They needed to bowl on a good length because there was bounce on the surface. Everyone executed well. We are used to chasing much better than this. Win always gives you confidence. We are taking the good things forward to the next game."

6:20pm So, Pakistan get off the mark in this T20 World Cup but their position on the table is unchanged. Their pace bowlers set the tone early by stifling the Dutch batters and it was thereon just about a matter of time. While Rizwan continued his supreme form with the bat, wonder what Pakistan would have learnt from the rest of the top order.

6:13pm First win in T20Is for Pakistan in Australia and it was not a smooth one by any means. The 92-run target seemed pretty easy but Pakistan could never find the right tempo to it. Rizwan once again stood tall but was unlucky to miss out on a half-century. The others played around him but it was eventually a drag. Who knows what might have transpired if the target was a bit more than what it eventually was.

Shadab Khan is the player of the match for his three-for: "I think this is a true pitch. I just tried to bowl on the stumps. I bowled to these players in the last series as well as in county cricket. Our bowlers put pressure in the powerplay and I could strike and that is what is about a team game. It is horrible feeling to go in there with one run remaining. But we could not finish the games in the last two games and today was about finishing it."

Glover to Shadab, FOUR runs

Full toss on off, Shadab gets forward and times the drive to beat mid-off and seal a six-wicket win.

13.4
Glover to Shadab, no run

Fullish on off and middle, gets behind it and defends it towards mid-on.

Shadab Khan to finish the formalities. Three-fer with the ball earlier...

Glover to Masood, OUT

Edged and it flies straight to deep third! A boundary-less innings from Masood ends with Pakistan on the doorstep of a win. It is short and outside off, he looks to slash it hard to seal the win but finds van Meekeren get forward and pouch that. Smiles as he walks back.

van Meekeren to Iftikhar, 1 run

Dropped! Short and outside off, Ahmed cuts it straight to backward point where van Beek dives to his left but it does not stick in his left hand. To be fair, he was a bit closer than the traditional backward point position.

12.3
van Meekeren to Iftikhar, no run

Length ball outside off, defends it to the off side.

12.2
van Meekeren to Iftikhar, no run

Lands it on a length and gets it to zip through. Ahmed is hurried and ends up defending off the back foot.

Iftikhar Ahmed is in next. Scored a handy half-century against India. A slip in.

van Meekeren to Rizwan, OUT

No fifty for Rizwan! Van Meekeren strikes and there's glee in the Netherlands huddle. Nothing big in terms of the overall context, though. He bowls it full and outside off and gets it to nip back in just a touch. Rizwan looks to work it away but only manages an inside edge. Edwards dives forward and grabs that.

Mohammad Rizwan c †Edwards b van Meekeren 49 (39b 5x4 0x6 66m) SR: 125.64
