County Championship Division Two leaders Northamptonshire were left frustrated as the second day of their top-of-the-table clash against Glamorgan
30-May-2011
County Championship Division Two leaders Northamptonshire were left frustrated as the second day of their top-of-the-table clash against Glamorgan at Wantage Road was washed out without a ball being bowled.
Rain fell persistently throughout the day and umpires Richard Illingworth and Rob Bailey decided to abandon the prospect of play for the day at 3pm.
Northamptonshire will look to press home their advantage tomorrow when they resume on 325 for 3 with centurion Rob White unbeaten on 101 and wicketkeeper David Murphy on 12 not out.
Glamorgan will try to finally make inroads into the Northamptonshire batting line-up after being made to toil on the first day, with only paceman Chris Ashling (2 for 74) having any success.
