10:45pm Right. That will be all from us for this game. Hope you enjoyed our coverage as much as we loved bringing it to you. The bottom line, if you were unable to tune in, is that the Hurricanes' qualification hopes are still up and running, while the Renegades' hopes have been extinguished.

We will be back with more BBL action tomorrow as the Adelaide Strikers host the Perth Scorchers. Until then, this is goodbye from Sudeep and me. Take care, folks!

Sam Hain is the Player of the Match, here is what he has to say: (On the win and his innings) Very pleasing. We know it is very tight. The boys are very happy with the win. I will be honest, it (the BBL) has not gone the way I wanted it to so far. It is a competition I have loved watching over the years. Means a lot to be a part of it and contribute today. Have my mates over from the Gold Coast. (On the hamstring) We'll say it is a cramp (smiles) but will have to assess with the physio. We will see how it is.

10:35pm A fairly comfortable run-chase in the end, headlined by Hain's half-century and Anderson's unbeaten 41. McDermott, too, did his bit at the start, keeping the required run-rate in check. There was a brief period, when McDermott got out and the Anderson-Hain partnership scratched around but that proved to be an anomaly, rather than a phase that would prove decisive.

Another disjointed performance by the Renegades, and that sort of sums up their season. There were brief spurts of brilliance, like the Cox-Wells partnership or O'Neill's brilliant opening spell. Those moments, though, were far and few in between, and they eventually limped to their sixth defeat of the season, which has definitively put them out of contention.

Siddle to David, FOUR runs

the new bat does the trick! The Hurricanes are home, and they have gone back-to-back! Dragged down outside leg. David gets inside the line comfortably and helps it past the keeper. The Renegades' qualification hopes come to an end; the Hurricanes are now right in the thick of things!

David is not happy with his bat, and has asked for a change

Siddle to bowl what could be the final over of this game. Anderson on strike. Five fielders in the circle, for what it is worth

dropped! Rank full toss outside off. David throws the plumbing at it and smashes it flat to backward point. Straight at O'Neill but luckily for David, the ball pops out of the debutant's hands!

don't worry about David, Anderson has got this! Oh my days, that is ENORMOUS! In the slot on off stump, and Anderson will have that for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Winds up and clatters it a 104m over deep mid wicket!

David in at 6. The Hurricanes would love if he can finish it quickly with a blow or two

Siddle to Hain, OUT

fifty and out! Full outside off. Just short of yorker and Hain thinks he can carve this over backward point. Gets a bit of an outside edge, though, and Zampa stoops down low at short third to send Hain back on his way. He has done his job, though, bringing the Hurricanes to the cusp of their second successive win!

right out of the screws! Ventures into the slot, and Hain cashes in. Moves across his stumps and clubs it away high and long over deep mid wicket. Brings up his fifty too, off just 35 and this looks like a match-winning effort!

16.4
Siddle to Hain, no run

full outside off. Hain winds up to go inside out but perhaps swings too hard. Loses shape and ends up connecting with fresh air

16.3
Siddle to Hain, no run

full and wide outside off. Hain lets it go, thinking it was wide enough but it was not. Well inside the tramlines

cracking shot! Right into Anderson's wheelhouse, on a full length on leg stump. Anderson gets his front foot out of the way and smokes it over the bowler's head!

Just 27 needed off 24 now, and the Renegades will need something really special to pull this one out of the fire. Remember, there is still one more over of the Power Surge left. Siddle to bowl it

Anderson joins in on the fun! Length on middle and leg. Anderson switches his feet and thrashes it over backward point for four!

15.4

strangled down the leg side?! Not quite! Length delivery outside leg that spins further down leg. Anderson tries to help it fine and the ball brushes the pads on its way to de Kock

very full at the stumps. Hain digs it out towards mid off and labours across to the other end

Hain does not seem to be moving too freely. The commentators on air reckon it could be a hamstring issue. He might not have to run a lot if he keeps hitting it this way, though
