Fellas, I've enjoyed myself thoroughly here, and thank you so much for everyone who followed the game with Peter and me, and especially those who engaged with us in the comments. Take care of yourselves, and see you again shortly!

Mustafa: "Another year as a Thunder fan, another year of heartbreak in the playoffs…" Sport, isn't it...

spooned away to cow corner, where the fielder dived forward to try and give Conway a hat-trick. He doesn't quite do it, but the Strikers win, and eliminate Thunder in the process. That Khawaja dismissal takes on more significance, but credit to Adelaide in what has been a BBL classic

It's 9 off one, and if this is a legal delivery, the Thunder will rumble away into the distance, not to be heard of for one more season

19.5

Conway to Cutting, OUT

Cutting holes out to long-on, and Strikers can reach out and touch it It was in the slot to smash away for six, but for once, Cutting can't the power, putting Strikers' fate into their own hands

Ben Cutting c Cockbain b Conway 16 (10b 3x4 0x6) SR: 160

Dezz: "Super over please with Fawad to bowl to Khawaja!" 2 fours will do it

19.4
W
Conway to Ross, OUT

he's skied that, and despite Carey doing his best to dissuade him, Thornton takes a splendid catch. They didn't see each other and clatter into one another, but how cool was Thornton? Catches it, tosses it into the air, and signals out. They're both fine

Alex Ross c Thornton b Conway 56 (39b 4x4 1x6) SR: 143.58

swing and a miss. Conway went really slow - just 105 kph, and Ross missed it completely

19.2
4
Conway to Ross, FOUR runs

he comes down the track, but only gets a top-edge. That works, though, teasing Fawad Ahmed at short third man. he hasn't caught that one, mind you; it's run away over his head for four

short, slower bouncer. Through the pull shot way too early as it cuffs him on the helmet. They run through for one

14 off 6. Conway to bowl. Here we go

cut away to deep point and they absolute hare through in search for two. Cutting puts in the dive at the keeper's end and they get there with ease

Joshua: "I disagree, i think Renshaw is makign that jibe to support Ussie by saying he gets a lot of bad decisions and his stats should be better. Kerry O'Keefe said Ussie was getting bad decisions in Shield." Possibly, yeah

Hira: "Peshawar Zalmi fans would be happy to see Cutting's cameo"

slower ball, little edge onto it for a single

18.2

short at not much pace, allowing Cutting to muscle it away to midwicket for four. Siddle will be disappointed with that delivery

helped down to long-on; that Power Surge has worked out for Thunder quite well

Conway to Cutting, FOUR runs

evades Peter Siddle - it was uppish, very close to mid-off. But the moment it beats that man, it's four, and Thudner are in the ascendancy now

slower short ball. Saw the batter coming out of his crease and adjusted his length. It's worked to short fine

JT: "Uzzy is still Renshaw's QLD captain. Time to look for a new state Matty boy."

nudges this to short fine leg

17.2
4
Conway to Cutting, FOUR runs

not the best ball. Going down leg stump, and Cutting helps it past fine leg for four. Bit of a putaway, that was, from Conway

Nick: "Say what you like about the third umpire, but it's the farcical "soft signal" rubbish that is the issue here. If super slow-mo cameras aren't conclusive then why are human eyes from 50 metres away at split-second speeds being used to decide? It's absolute guesswork and makes a mockery of the rules." I tend to agree

Siddle to Sams, OUT

that's plumb, or it looks that way. Yorker onto middle, and the umpire raises the finger. Sams goes off shaking his head, but unless it got an inside edge, that's a very obvious decision

Harry: "Taking away that umpiring decision that everybody here seems so divided about, this really has been a great game of cricket. Swung back and forth every ball."
