Scorecard
Bangladesh Cricket Board Academy edged a three-wicket win to clinch the three-match one-day series against the Sri Lanka Academy. A low-scoring contest in Colombo went in Bangladesh's favour thanks to captain Naeem Islam's unbeaten 56.
Put in to bat, Sri Lanka failed to stitch together any substantial partnerships. Opener Sachithra Serasinghe top scored with 34, and Farveez Maharoof, playing his first game of the series, chipped in with 24. Maharoof added 39 with captain Jeewan Mendis, the highest in the innings after which Sri Lanka lost their last six wickets for 37 runs. For Bangladesh, Arafat Sunny took 3 for 22 off 7.4 overs, while Sajidul Islam, Ziaur Rahman and Nasir Hossain took two wickets apiece.
Bangladesh stumbled to 34 for 3 in their chase, but Farhad Hossain and Naeem provided stability with a 33-run stand. Naeem, who came in when the score was 28 for 2, stayed till the end to lead Bangladesh home. Sunny scored 22 as they added 40 for the sixth wicket. Legspinner Seekkuge Prasanna dismissed Sunny and Ashiqul Islam, but his 3 for 25 off ten overs could not prevent a Bangladesh win.
