Norman Blundell was a legspinner who played eight times for Victoria after the war, only twice in the Sheffield Shield with his other appearances all against Tasmania. His best figures of 5 for 37 came against Tasmania in 1947-48. At club level he was an allrounder, scoring 4552 runs and taking 495 wickets for VCA Colts, Essendon and Footscray between 1936-37 and 1954-55. Playing against Hawthorn-East Melbourne in 1947, Blundell took 9 for 49 and 8 for 68 in a losing cause.

An inaugural member of the VCA 200 Club, Blundell later became a respected radio commentator on ABC. He once said: "A huge crowd has missed a great day's action by turning out in such small numbers."
