(England, Staffordshire and Invicta) Right hand top order bat. Senior international debut in the winning 1993 World Cup team and vice-captain of England from 1995-8. Captained the U-19s for two years. Shares the sixth wicket record stand of 132 with Kathryn Leng, playing against New Zealand in 1996 and scored 160 in the same match. Had excellent One Day International Series against South Africa this summer, making 231 runs in the five games to take the Vodafone Batsman of the Series Award. Captained her county Staffordshire to promotion into Division One at this year's County Championships.

Taught English before joining the Women's Cricket Association and overseeing the merger with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Worked for the ECB as their first National Manager of Women's Cricket from 1998 to October 2000. Born 17 December 1964.
