Marumisa is one of the few remaining products of the CFX Academy in Zimbabwe cricket. A veteran by Zimbabwean standards in domestic competitions at 24, Marumisa has seen selection elude him until a lucky break in Zimbabwe's Twenty20 squad, which he would have never anticipated in his wildest dreams. Pressure was on selectors though for a tryout, as Marumisa is a good timer of the ball and is perhaps the biggest hitter of the ball among the present pool of players. He is very strong on the back foot. Outspoken about his abilities and those of others, he is from the Takashinga club. He has some experience at first-class, having played alongside top players such as Andy Flower, Guy Whittall and others for Manicaland. He tends to get excited though when he finds form such that his top scores are always in the forties.
