A brave stand of 100 in 20 overs by left-handers Ganguly and Joshi rescued India from a humiliating 89 for six. Then Kambli missed a sitter at mid-wicket offered by Steve Waugh, who put on 113 with Law. India were luckier after umpire Francis turned down an appeal for a run out against Healy. Boos from those watching the replay prompted him to call for the TV verdict and Healy was given out. But Bevan drove the winning boundary with three balls to spare.
