Dave Callaghan continued his run of form with a second Man-of-the-Match performance to help South Africa Masters knock aside England Masters in the dress rehearsal for Saturday's final. Having taken three wickets to help keep England to 148 for 8, Callaghan bludgeoned an unbeaten 92 to seal an emphatic eight-wicket success that ended England's unbeaten run.

Having hit a half-century in the previous game against West Indies, Callaghan was at the middle of matters today. His 62-ball innings, that included ten fours and three sixes, was the highest score of the tournament and made light work if the target. He featured in unbeaten third-wicket partnership of 93 in 10.2 overs, with fellow allrounder Lance Klusener (31), who finished the match with a six over midwicket off Mark Alleyne.

Alleyne's 64 from 49 balls had earlier propped up England's innings after they were put in to bat. England began poorly, losing Craig White and Phil DeFreitas early, but Alleyne and Mark Ramprakash put on 46 in 4. 5 overs before Ramprakash (21) was bowled by Callaghan. Callaghan enjoyed rolling his arm over and picked out the middle order with 3 for 37.

From 81 for 6, England were revived by Alleyne and John Emburey, who added a vital 53 in 5. 4 overs. Emburey made 18, including a straight six, and was run out in the last over.
