A surprise selection for the one-day international series against Australia in 2008, Shawn Findlay is a batsman who was picked more on potential than on performances. He was the second top run scorer in the KFC Cup in 2007-08 but was not used at all by Jamaica in the first-class competition, the Carib Beer Series. At the time of his ODI debut he had managed just one List A half-century and one in first-class cricket.
