Patrick Browne is a useful wicketkeeper-batsman who toured England with West Indies Under-19s in 2001 and slowly became a regular in the Barbados side. In 2007 he returned to England with West Indies A and impressed enough to be called into the pre-tour squad ahead of the 2007-08 South Africa trip. When injuries took their toll he was called up, ostensibly as an understudy to Denesh Ramdin, but he made his ODI debut as a specialist batsman. He is a predominantly leg-side player.
