A legspinner by craft, Samuel Badree's career did not take off like he would have hoped. He made his first-class debut in 2001-02 and played his first List A match the following season, but didn't cement a place for himself in the Trinidad and Tobago side. However, in recent years, Badree has become more effective in the limited-overs formats. He was named in the initial 32-player roster for the Stanford Superstars and was the Man of the Match in Trinidad & Tobago's victory against Barbados in the WICB Cup final in 2008. Although he didn't make the final cut for the Stanford Superstars, Badree was part of the Trinidad & Tobago team that beat Middlesex to win a jackpot of US$280,000 in the Stanford Super Series.
