Former captain Arshad Ali produced a sensational bowling spell to fire UAE to a four-wicket win over Denmark on the second day of the World Cricket League Division Two in Windhoek. Ali was the hero for the second day running, this time grabbing 7 for 41 as Denmark, after a 102-run opening start, stumbled to 223 in 49.2 overs. The UAE reached the target in 42.1 overs for their second successive victory while Denmark face an uphill battle after successive defeats.

Denmark's captain Freddie Klokker and Mickey Lund provided their team with a solid first-wicket partnership. Klokker scored a defiant 99 and missed out on a well-deserved century only after running out of partners. His 131-ball knock included eight boundaries while Lund contributed 42 off 71 balls with five fours. UAE's successful chase was dominated by captain Saqib Ali who scored an unbeaten 66 from 85 balls with eight fours and two sixes. Gayan Silva chipped in with 45.

Hosts and tournament favourites Namibia thrashed Argentina by 178 runs to make it two good wins for them in the opening two days. Gerrie Snyman led the blitz with an electrifying 98 off 74 balls with three fours and six sixes as Namibia posted a colossal 344 for 6 in their 50 overs. Argentina opener Matias Paterlini carried his bat for 114, first century of the tournament. His efforts were not enough to save his team from their second defeat but it did win him the Man-of-the-Match award.

Oman also recorded their second straight victory by defeating Uganda by three wickets. Put into bat, Uganda recovered from 106 for 4 to reach 251 for 9 with opener Arthur Kyoke scoring 50. Kenneth Kamyuka (43) and Benjamin Musoke (39) also made valuable contributions. Oman overcame early jitters to achieve victory with six balls to spare. After wobbling on 42 for 4, Sultan Ahmed (52) added 66 runs for the fifth wicket with Mohammad Asif (28), and then Syed Ali and Farhan Khan finished off the game with an unbroken 73-run partnership for the eighth wicket off just 49 balls. Ali slammed five boundaries in his 49-ball 50 while Khan belted two fours and three sixes in his 27-ball 44.
