Zimbabwe v Pakistan

At Bulawayo, November 23, 2002

15-Apr-2004
At Bulawayo, November 23, 2002. Pakistan won by seven runs. Toss: Pakistan. One-day international debuts: S. Matsikenyeri, B. G. Rogers, R. W. Sims; Kamran Akmal.
This match appeared completely one-sided as Pakistan took apart another incompetent attack and then reduced Zimbabwe to 32 for four - chasing 303. The home side, fielding three debutants, looked way out of their depth against Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. But the innings was transformed when Evans, in his first international for three years after a prolific run for Mashonaland, joined Andy Flower. Together, they added 135 and created an outside chance of victory, but 19 off the final over was too much for the last pair. Earlier, Yousuf Youhana scored a superb, one-day best 141 - from 147 balls with 13 fours and three sixes. It was only a taste of what was to come from his bat.
Man of the Match: Yousuf Youhana.
