Stock up on batsmen in batting-friendly Hobart

Wade finally showed his true value with a brilliant 66 runs from 29 balls in the previous game against the Melbourne Renegades. He also scored 62 runs in the powerplay. Wade has 151 runs at a strike rate of 152.52 at the moment.

Vice-captain: Alex Hales

Hales scored a brilliant 85 from 59 balls in the last game against the Perth Scorchers. On batting-friendly pitches, Hales is a must-have, as 339 runs at a strike rate of 139.50 suggest. The Thunder depend a lot on their top three and Hales is the only one in good form.

The leading wicket-taker of the tournament, Sams has 20 wickets at an economy of 7.93 and strikes every 12 balls. Although his form with the bat has been poor, the Thunder have routinely sent him out early. So there's always a chance of some extra points there.

Under the radar somewhat, Ross has been in form over the last few games. He has 239 runs at 131.31 and averages 47.8. Thunder's middle order has struggled and Ross is key for the late overs.

Ben McDermott: McDermott has 236 runs from 11 innings at a strike rate of 126.20. In the previous game against the Renegades, he showed glimpses of his real ability, scoring 38 runs from 19 balls.

Scott Boland: Boland has picked up ten wickets in six innings. He has taken a wicket in every game but one and has gone at an economy of just 7.84. Against a strong top order, Boland could be crucial for the Hurricanes.
