Pepler Sandri, the South African-born pace bowler, has left Sussex after one year following just a single first-class match for the county in 2009.
He appeared against Nottinghamshire in August but failed to take a wicket and his most notable performance for Sussex came against the Australians earlier in the season. He claimed three wickets in nine overs and took four scalps in the match, including Phillip Hughes twice, but couldn't find a first-team place.
"We're really disappointed that it didn't work out with Pepler," said cricket manager Mark Robinson. "He was never able to really settle into the demands of English cricket. We wish him all the best and thank him for all the hard work that he put into the season."
