New Zealand v Bangladesh 2007-08

New Zealand v Bangladesh second one-day international

15-Apr-2008
At Napier, December 28, 2007. New Zealand won by 102 runs (D/L method). Toss: New Zealand.
Vettori, New Zealand's new captain, had demanded that his men show no mercy, and they charged into battle, How and McCullum making another good start with 82 by the 14th over. Then the already impressive pace quickened: Fulton led the chase for 300, and Oram pushed his side well past that with 55 from 31 balls, including four sixes and as many fours. Tamim Iqbal and Junaid Siddique sprinted to 63, but both fell in the 13th over, soon to be followed by Mohammad Ashraful, all three victims of the lively Mills. Aftab Ahmed resisted for 78 balls, but the rest of the batting was listless, and Bangladesh were way behind the par score when rain brought a merciful end with seven overs remaining.
