Wisden's review of Kings XI Punjab v Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2009-10

15-Apr-2011
At Mohali, April 2, 2010. Royal Challengers Bangalore won by six wickets. ‡Kings XI Punjab 181-5 (20 overs) (K. C. Sangakkara 45, R. S. Bopara 42*, Yuvraj Singh 36); Royal Challengers Bangalore 184-4 (19.1 overs) (K. P. Pietersen 66*, V. Kohli 42). MoM: K. P. Pietersen.
A combination of mature batting, woeful fielding (several easy catches went down) and some terrible bowling at the death helped Bangalore to an easy win. Pietersen reined himself in, but his stand of 76 with Virat Kohli kept his side in the hunt; then, with 48 needed from the final four overs, Uthappa flayed the out-of-sorts Brett Lee for 19 in an over costing 25.
