Once David Warner was run out after a solid half-century, Delhi's batting misfired against some tight bowling from Symonds. He had stood strong earlier after Gilchrist went for 24, and later passed the baton to Rohit Sharma. It was Deccan's third successive victory, and Delhi's third straight defeat, all coming while their captain Gautam Gambhir was out with a groin injury.
