Hong Kong team named for ACC Twenty20 Cup in Nepal

The Hong Kong National Selectors have announced the Hong Kong squad for the ACC Twenty20 Cup 2013 to be held in Nepal from 26th March to 3rd April 2013.

The Hong Kong National Selectors have announced the Hong Kong squad for the ACC Twenty20 Cup 2013 to be held in Nepal from 26th March to 3rd April 2013.
The squad will travel to Sri Lanka on 19th March 2013 where they will play a number of practice matches before heading to Kathmandu on the 24th March 2013.
The full squad, including players, reserves and officials is as follows:

A number of players from the National Training Squad were not considered for selection for various reasons. Moner Ahmed was unavailable and Kinchit Shah could not travel due to school studies. Mark Chapman remains on the injured list while Haseeb Amjad does not qualify until the end of May 2013.
Hong Kong were narrowly beaten by Afghanistan in the final at the last ACC Twenty20 Cup, also played in Nepal in December 2011. For the 2013 event, Hong Kong has been drawn in Group A alongside Malaysia, Maldives, Singapore and hosts Nepal. Group B features Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.
The top two teams from the ACC Twenty20 Cup 2013 will qualify for the World Twenty20 Qualifier, to be played in the UAE during November 2013.
