Hong Kong squad named for ACC Twenty20 Cup 2009

The Hong Kong Cricket Association has announced a new-look Hong Kong squad for the ACC Twenty20 Cup 2009 to be played in UAE during 22-30 November 2009.

The Hong Kong Cricket Association is pleased to announce the Hong Kong squad for the ACC Twenty20 Cup 2009 to be played in UAE during 22-30 November 2009. Hong Kong will be led for the first time by Pakistan Association's Najeeb Amar with Kowloon Cricket Club's Roy Lamsam as Vice Captain. The 14-man squad includes a mix of youth and experience with six members of the Hong Kong Under-19 team to play at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand named in the team.

Hong Kong has been drawn in a group with Afghanistan, China, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and UAE. The other teams competing in the tournament are Nepal, Malaysia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. Afghanistan and Oman are the joint reigning champions of the ACC Twenty20 Cup.
