Fantasy Picks - Healy and Perry are due, back them to fire

Captain: Alyssa Healy

Healy has had a horrid time in recent T20Is. She has 6 single-digit scores in her last 7 games in the format. But, she started off the World Cup with a fifty against India and proved the World cup is a completely different format and we are backing her one more time to end her poor run.

Vice Captain: Ellyse Perry

Perry has done little of note so far in the two games. But she is too good a player to keep out of action for long. The last time she played a T20I in Canberra, she scored 49 with the bat and picked up 4 for 13 with the ball.

She looked the most comfortable Bangladesh batter against India. She now has 216 runs in her last 5 T20I innings and is a must-have.

When it matters the most, you can back Haynes to get you out of trouble and eventually to a good position as well. She did exactly that in the game against Sri Lanka. She took Australia from 10 for 3 to 105 for 4 with a 47-ball 60. Haynes has a very healthy strike-rate of 118.23 in T20Is.

Lanning came in at 4 against Sri Lanka, scored an unbeaten 41 and took her side home from a precarious situation. You cannot afford to leave her out.

Ghosh has a strike-rate of 19 and an economy of 5.26 in T20Is. Her cutters and variations in length should be really useful on the wicket in Canberra. She also has the knack of picking up wickets. Her figures were 2 for 25 in the last game where she picked up the two crucial wickets of Shafali Verma and Harmanpreet Kaur.

The 20-year old, in her short career so far, has already proved that she is here to stay. She scored a fluent 26-ball 30 against India in the previous game and looks good to score a lot more runs in the tournament. For her price, she could be a really valuable pick.
