The first round of the C&G Trophy was finally completed today with the final two matches managing to beat the weather, although Scotland will probably wish their game against Worcestershire had gone to a bowl-out.

Derbyshire completed a thrilling one-wicket win against Durham off the last ball of the match. Durham were in control overnight, with Derbyshire still needing 103 from 13 overs. But Graeme Welch hit 50 from 47 balls to reignite the innings before he was bowled by Steve Harmison. However, Derbyshire still had enough batting left as Ant Botha hit 34 from 27 balls to follow up his 4 for 44 yesterday.
Scotland did not put up much resistance against Worcestershire succumbing to a ten-wicket defeat at The Grange in Edinburgh. After being put in to bat in overcast conditions the Scots struggled against Worcestershire's attack as all the bowlers chipped in. Ryan Watson scored a defiant 53, but Vikram Solanki and Stephen Moore raced to their target of 135 in 19.1 overs.
