When Andrew Puttick chipped Warren McSkimming down to midwicket in the 12th over, he reached his fifty. Little did Otago realise that his job was only half done. He lasted till the end and remained unbeaten on 104.
Justin Ontong's blazing knock of 39 off 14 balls which lifted Cape Cobras close to a total of 200. He cleared his back leg and slogged the seamers with clean hits, smacking four sixes.
The run-out of Brendon McCullum for 21, just when he was looking dangerous. Otago's main hope cut the ball to third man, turned around for a second run but failed to make his crease in time. He fell in the sixth over and there was plenty for the rest to do.
