Chathura Peiris to lead Sri Lanka U-19 in England

Fast-bowling allrounder Chathura Peiris, who led Sri Lanka to the semi-finals of the ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand this year, will captain the Under-19 team on a tour to England from July 14 to August 7.
Peiris has with him nine others who played in the U-19 World Cup, including Sri Lanka's highest run-getter in the tournament, Banuka Rajapakse, who scored 253 runs. Top-order batsman Ramith Rambukwella, the son of Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, is the only new face in the squad. Four other members of the England-bound team - Nipun Karunanayake, Sanitha de Mel, Saranga Rajaguru and Dinuk Jayasinghe - were part of the initial World Cup squad although they failed to make the final 16.
The team will play two youth Tests, two Twenty20s and a one-day match against the England Under-19 team.
