Sri Lanka women recall Fernando sisters

Sri Lanka women have called up two new players for the five ODIs against West Indies women from November 5 to 12. Colombo Cricket Club's Chandi Wickramaratne and Udeshika Prabhodini are part of the 15-member squad which includes sisters Rose and Hiruka Fernando, recalled after a long hiatus from the national side.

Rose, 29, played one Test and 28 ODIs between 1997 and 2004 while Hiruka, 32, played 43 ODIs between 1997 and 2005. Both toured West Indies in 2003. Sadamali Kumuduni, Janakanthy Mala, Deepika Rasangika, and Sumudu Fernando, part of the Asia Cup squad, have been left out. The This is Shashikala Siriwardene, series as captain against a non-subcontinent side.

The series will kick off with two matches in Dambulla, before the teams move to Kurunegala for the third game, and then on to Colombo for the last two.

Sri Lanka women: Shashikala Siriwardene (capt), Chamari Polgampola, Dedunu Silva, Chamika Bandara, Suwini de Alwis, Eshani Kaushalya, Chamani Seneviratna, Sanduni Abeywickrama, Inoka Galagedara, Dilani Manodara (wk), Sripali Weerakkody, Rose Fernando, Chandi Wickramaratne , Udeshika Prabodhini, Hiruka Fernando.
