Suwanji Madanayake is bowling all-rounder who bowls left arm spin and middle order left handed. he is fully professional commitments in UK where he has excelled for a variefy of clubs. his career as a professional in the uk include successful stints in the north Yorkshire and South Durham, Lancashire league, Leistershire and Liverpool competition. He is the first Liverpool player to achieve the 500 runs and 50 wicket milestone in 2008 summer. Between 1995-1999 he pushed hard for international recognition too, winning places in various development squads as well as the Sri Lanka "A' squad. Although he has developed his game alongside such international stars as Aravinda de silva, Hashan Thilakaratne, Ruwan Kalpage, Kumar Sangakkara at his club (the famous NCC) and mercantile team (Sampath bank ltd).In addition elected as the best bowling average in 97/98 first class season.
