Daleen Terblanche has been part of South Africa's set-up for ten years, and is their most-capped ODI player. She is also, by some way, the senior player in the side. Her wicketkeeping days now seem behind her with the emergence of Trisha Chetty, but her batting continues to impress.
In 2007 she scored her maiden ODI century against Netherlands, striking an unbeaten 114 not out, the then-highest score by a South African, until Johmari Logtenberg surpassed it the following match. She also scored 83 when opening the batting in the Test against the same opponents.
She is a teacher by profession and has also played hockey at provincial level. Her motto in life is 'never give up', so expect her to remain part of the South Africa team for a while longer yet.
