Naeem spins Abbottabad past Lahore Shalimar

Led by Mohammad Naeem, Abbottabad beat Lahore Shalimar by 59 runs at the Abbottabad Cricket Stadium. Lahore had added just seven runs to their overnight score of 121 for five when Kashif Mahmood was caught behind off Jahangir Shah. Mahmood batted for 48 minutes for his five, facing 72 deliveries. Saad Nasim hit two fours in his 15 and added 31 with Afzal Shahzad, but his dismissal heralded the end of Lahore's resistance. Naeem snapped up two of the last three wickets to finish with 5 for 52, while Shahzad remained unbeaten on 45, having spent four hours at the crease and faced 179 balls.

Offspinner Atif Maqbool took a career-best 6 for 73, and 12 wickets in the match, to lead Karachi Whites to a crushing innings victory over Quetta at the National Stadium in Karachi. Quetta had slumped to 37 for 4 before former Pakistan national Ata-ur-Rehman and Nasrullah Khan added 80 for the fifth wicket. Both batsmen eventually fell to Maqbool: Nasrullah was stumped for 43, having hit five fours and two sixes, while Rehman was trapped leg-before after a brisk 79 from 84 balls. The rest of the team did not offer much resistance, and Maqbool took the last two wickets to wrap up the game.

Lahore Ravi needed just 5.1 overs on the final day to complete a clinical victory by an innings and nine runs over Pakistan Television at the Lahore City Cricket Association. Naeem Anjum remained unbeaten on 42 as PT added just 14 to their overnight score of 215 for 8. Anjum's innings consumed 93 balls and contained three fours.

Opener Sharjeel Khan's fourth first-class hundred made sure Hyderabad came away with a draw against Khan Research Laboratories at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad. Sharjeel began the day on 67 and went on to make 119 from 198 balls, with 12 fours a six. He added 96 with Rizwan Ahmed, who batted for over five hours and faced 197 balls to make 82. Sharjeel's departure triggered a mini-collapse - three wickets fell for 18 - but Lal Kumar made an unbeaten 51 from 166 balls down the order to steady the ship. Left-arm spinner Nauman Ali was the most successful bowler, taking 4 for 59 from 31 overs.
