Richard Pybus reappointed Pakistan coach

Richard Pybus has been appointed the coach of the Pakistan team till the 2003 World Cup Saturday after he met Chairman PCB, Lt Gen Tauqir Zia here today at the PCB headquarters.

The 38-year old Pybus has on three separate occasions coached the Pakistan team between 1999 and 2001. A professionally qualified coach, he has worked in this capacity for the Border team in South Africa, established the Border Cricket Academy and in between had a stint as SuperSport journalist.

During his stints with Border, he oversaw the development of three South African Internationals from the formative stages of their careers. These are Mark Boucher, Makhaya Ntini and Justin Kemp.

Pybus will be joining the Pakistan team in Colombo on September 25.

In the meanwhile, to prepare for the Australian series, PCB has organized a three-day match with the West Indies at Colombo from September 25.
