Sajjida Shah has been in the Pakistan side for nearly eight years yet she is only 20. Making her debut in 2000, at the age of 12, Shah first made an impact when she took 4 for 33 against Netherlands in Karachi in April 2001. She mostly bats in the middle order and bowls offbreaks at first or second change. Her best performance came in 2003 at the International Women's Cricket Council Trophy in Amsterdam where she took 7 for 4 as Japan were bowled out for 28 to give Pakistan a 153-run victory. Shah continued to chip in with useful scores and wickets. She was part of the Pakistan side that qualified for the World Cup 2009 in Australia.
Shah likes to sing while batting, something that, she says, relaxes her if she's nervous.
