First attempt at captaincy
It was in Under-19 cricket. It brought responsibility, of course, but you could bully every other kid. I enjoyed it.
First pub brawl
I had one proper one when I was 16 or 17. I hit someone and got hit as well. Got 10 stitches on my left wrist. The mark is still there. I made sure that was my last bar fight.
First meeting with Stuart Broad after the six sixes
Soon after that game. He was laughing at me as well, and we had a good time. You don't take these things seriously off the field.
First autograph
Kajol, when I was 13 or 14. She was shooting somewhere.
First time my father was pleased with my cricket
When I scored my first Ranji ton, against Haryana - I made 149. It was the first time he was really happy about me. Until then I had struggled to play for Punjab for a couple of years.
