English-born Roy Harford played club cricket in Surrey for Mitcham before emigrating to New Zealand. A competent wicketkeeper and a poor tailend batsman, his first-class career only spanned three seasons. He played three Tests against India in 1967-68, failing dismally with the bat, but in his last Test he took seven catches.
