Time to put your pyjamas on
When the tour started, India were expected to run away with the Test series, while Pakistan were expected to make a fist of it in the one-dayers. After Pakistan’s amazing performance in the Bangalore Test, though, they will go into the one-dayers believing that they can win it. And with their slew of allrounders, Pakistan certainly have the firepower to put it across the hosts. Sourav Ganguly, on the other hand, has plenty of answering to do after the debacle at Bangalore; a defeat in the one-day series, and he might well have to relinquish his captaincy.

In and Out - The Cricinfo form guide
Your guide to who's hot and who's not ahead of the one-day series

Shahid Afridi Scored at a manic strike rate of 127 in the Tests, and topped the team's bowling averages as well. He won’t be lacking in confidence, and one-dayers are his forte anyway.
Virender Sehwag Made 211 more than the next-highest run-getter for India, Rahul Dravid. The Pakistanis clearly haven’t come up with a solution to the Sehwag factor, and on flat tracks he could be absolutely unstoppable.

Sourav Ganguly His lack of runs makes him a serious liability in the Indian batting line-up. His one-day form is better, but not by that much – 147 runs in his last six innings at 24.50.
Mohammad Hafeez 108 runs and nine wickets in his last 11 matches don’t make flattering reading. Might still make it into the team since Shoaib Malik can’t bowl, but expect the Indians to target Hafeez.

Yuvraj Singh
After a disappointing end to the Tests, India need someone to revive their spirits, and Yuvraj is the best bet. He has a terrific attitude, is a proven matchwinner, and he loves the big stage.
