Sairaj Bahutule will lead Mumbai against Rest of India in the Irani Trophy at Mohali. The squad, announced today, was almost identical to the on that triumphed in the final of the Ranji Trophy in Chennai last season.
Apart from Bahutule, Ramesh Powar and Nilesh Kulkarni were the two other spinners in the side while Avishkar Salvi and Munaf Patel are likely to open the bowling. Mumbai's batting depth was a crucial part of their success last season and the line-up is unlikely to be changed.
A full-strength Rest of India team won the Irani Trophy last year with Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman starring in a thrilling run-chase.
