The Board for Control of Cricket in India has announced the venues for the Australian and South African tours later this year, AFP reported. The announcement came after BCCI officials met for two days to decide which Test centres would play host to the two countries.
Australia, who tour first, will play in Bangalore, Madras, Nagpur and Mumbai, while South Africa will play in Kanpur and Kolkata. Both teams will also play a single warm-up game: Australia against an Indian Board President's team, and South Africans versus India A. Delhi announced that Ferozshah Kotla would not be ready in time for the series', which take place from October to December.
The last time India played Australia at home, they won an epic series 2-1 on the back of a monumental knock by VVS Laxman and over 30 wickets by Harbhajan Singh. But South Africa had a lot more success on their last tour, taking the two-Test series 2-0.
