Two old faces will be pitching up to the Hampshire Rose Bowl this weekend as the Australian tourists roll into town for the first time to meet Hampshire in the latest Vodafone Challenge Series clash.
Matthew Hayden, who played for Hampshire with great success in 1995 and Shane Warne, the legendary leg-spinner who made a huge impression on the county faithful last season are included in the Australia XI.
They will be both awarded a great reception from the promised almost sell-out crowd for all three days.
The side has a distictively lop-sided look to it with only four front line batsmen being selected, but a potently strong bowling line-up which will test the full strength Hampshire side to the limit.
Play starts at 11am on all three days.
Australia team: Matthew Hayden, Simon Katich, Justin Langer, Steve Waugh (capt), Wade Seccombe, Shane Warne, Jason Gillespie, Damien Fleming, Colin Miller, Brett Lee, Ashley Noffke.
