Good day and welcome to CricInfo's live coverage of the fourth one-
day international between India and the West Indies, at the Motera
Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The only game of this seven-match series to be played under lights,
the tie sees India, only one-down now after the Rajkot match,
hoping to square the rubber with three games to go.
But Sourav Ganguly will certainly not wish to win the way he did at
Rajkot, and the pressure on the authorities and police to prevent
a fourth successive incident of crowd trouble will be immense.
The West Indian bowlers will also have to recover from the shock of
another attack. At Rajkot, Virender Sehwag plundered a century in
75 balls, smashing the bowlers to all parts of the ground before
the crowd stepped in.
Sourav Ganguly won the toss and elected to field first, no doubted
boosted by India's success whilst chasing at Rajkot. But the team
batting first at this ground has won an overwhelming number of
times, so this will be an exciting contest, for sure.
The tourists will be strengthened by the return of skipper Carl
Hooper from knee injury, while India call up Murali Kartik and
Sanjay Bangar in place of Ajit Agarkar and Jai P Yadav.
The 50,000-capacity stadium is absolutely packed, traffic outside
the ground winding lengthily down the roads, and no doubt the
atmosphere will be heated - and for more reasons than just the
baking sun in a tin sky.

A five-wicket win for India, almost cruising home in the end, with
two overs and a bit to spare.
It is quite, quite remarkable how a team that could not chase to
save its life just a year or more ago have transformed into an
outfit that chases down totals of 300-plus with monotonous
regularity.
In part that is due to the lengthy batting lineup, but there is
more to it.
The never-say-die spirit that has infused this Indian innings has
also permeated a number of other run-chases in the recent past,
and with every member contributing his mite like today.
After the openers fell cheaply - and they did more than enough in
the previous game, after all - Laxman and Dravid put together a
consolidating partnership that stabilised the innings.
Then Dravid and Yuvraj Singh upped the ante with some bold strokes,
although the real surprise came later, further down the innings.
Sanjay Bangar, throwing away his mantle of dour Test opener, played
some sparkling strokes for his 57 off 41 balls, and by the time
Dravid got to a fantastic century, India had all but sealed the
win.
The Man of the Match, surprisingly, was named Chris Gayle, despite
Dravid's century under pressure.
