Sri Lanka were in the driving seat for most of the first Test but lost a gripping match by 16 runs when their batting crumbled in the final session. Jayasuriya, who replaces Marvan Atapattu, was Sri Lanka`s most successful batsman in their last series in Pakistan, averaging 79.33. Australia will make a late decision on whether to field three fast-medium bowlers or two spinners. Shane Warne, the leg spinner who took vital wickets in the desperate finish to the previous Test, reported fit for net practice yesterday, despite a sore heel. But he could lose his place to the all-rounder, Tony Dodemaide.
