Lancashire have confirmed that the club's committee will propose Jack Livingstone for the position of president at the next AGM, to be held at Old Trafford on June 19.
Until then, he is nominated as president-elect. The position of president has been vacant since the death of Lord Steinberg in November last year.
Livingstone has been an active member of LCCC since 1947 and has had a successful business career, most notably in the finance sector. He has also held several positions with various North West charities, including the chairmanship of the Lord's Taverners North West Region and the LCCC Youth Trust.
In 2005, he and Lord Steinberg launched an appeal to raise money for youth cricket development in Lancashire.
