The Israel Cricket Association is proud to announce that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially accepted an invitation to tour Israel. The tour will be part of the 60th anniversary celebrations and will take place in July. The BCCI has approved the trip of an India A side to play three one day internationals against an Israel Invitation XI.
So far seven overseas players have accepted the invitation to take part in the three match series, namely:
Adam Bacher - South Africa
Steve Herzberg - Tasmania, Western Australia
Jon Moss - Victoria, Derbyshire
Michael Klinger - Victoria
Jason and Greg Molins - Ireland
Rolanf Lefebvre - Holland
The squad will be supplemented by local players.
This is sensational news for Israel cricket. India A usually consists of players who have played international cricket or are on the threshold of selection to the full national side.
